No começo da década de 2000, o cena underground norte americana de posters de rock passou por um renascimento surpreendente. Embalados pelo surgimento do Gigposters.com, um catálogo precioso de posters de todo o mundo, novos artistas surgiram e injetaram criatividade e talento no movimento.
É nessa onda que mergulhou a diretora Eillen Yaghoobian para produzir seu documentário Died Young, Stayed Pretty.
O filme segue Yaghoobian enquanto ela percorre os Estados Unidos e Canadá atrás desses artistas da contra-cultura. Art Chantry, Brian Chippendale, Ames Bros, Print Mafia e Rob Jones são algumas das ilustres figuras que aparecem na tela. Em seus portfolios, artistas como Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Radiohead, White Stripes, Ween, Sonic Youth, Pearl Jam, Queens of Stone Age, Bob Dylan... a lista é grande.
